Perfect. A strong word. Perfect is something we all strive to be, even if we don’t realize it. If we see someone maybe in a movie, or on a magazine cover, most people automatically want to be like them, in their supposed ‘perfection’?. But is it really perfection? Are they really perfect because they’re beautiful, and wonderful at acting, modeling, etc.? Because I would disagree.

In my opinion, perfection is being who you are, and doing what is best for yourself. I may not be the most beautiful or kind 13 year old girl out there, but I know who I am, and who I would like to be. I know what, or who, my perfect self would be.

Some people would disagree with me. They might say, ‘perfection is being the most beautiful’. Or maybe, ‘perfection is being kind, loving, beautiful/handsome, all in one, and having no flaws’. And maybe that is perfection. It really does seem perfect. But does that make it so? Because if you really think about it, having no flaws is impossible. Have you ever met someone perfect in every way? They never get mad, or have anything wrong with themselves? It is in the human nature to get angry. It is part of who we are to argue. Someone would have to have a lot of self control to be all that. And even so, what about on the inside?

So, is perfection really being the perfect that you think it is? Or is it something else?

Then of course, there is the matter of nature. We see things, and say they are perfect, but again, are they really that way? If you see a tree with vines crawling up, making it look beautiful, is that perfection? No, because the vines are killing the tree. One day, they will take over the whole thing, and it will die.

I think that perfection is being utterly pure in yourself. You will get angry, but you will know why. You may feel sad, but you will be able to fix it. Perfection is not what we think it is. Not at all. To find perfection in yourself, you must learn to know your body and mind. You must know who you are.

Then, you will find perfection, and hopefully contentment as well.

Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive, who is Youer than You.
